PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Performs custodial, housekeeping, building/grounds maintenance, general labor and minor repairs for Sunburst property locations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Custodial duties in entire plant as required not limited to the following:

· Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing and polishing floors

· Collection and management of trash and recyclable

· Light fixture cleaning and bulb replacement

· Office cleaning and dusting

· Restroom cleaning and maintenance

· Cafeteria cleaning, including refrigerators and microwaves

· Window cleaning, interior and exterior·

• Assist in manually moving/assembling plant and office equipment when necessary

• Assemble or repair plant or office furniture

• Perform minor carpentry tasks and painting

• Work cohesively in a team environment

• Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures

• Maintenance of equipment with supervision of Engineer

• Ensure work area is neat, clean, and in safe condition at all times

• Report any accidents or unsafe conditions to supervisor

• Other duties may be assigned when necessary

• Performs outside work to support grounds including:

· Using mowers to cut the grass

· Raking

· Lawn Maintenance

· Trimming shrubbery

· Operating plow truck/snow blower to remove snow

· Shoveling

· Keeping all walkways clear/safe in winter

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to operate fork truck, shop pick-up, mowers and other power tools/equipment

• Frequently a physically demanding position. Employee must be able to lift (50-75 lbs.)

• Ability to perform extensive bending, climbing and reaching.

• Basic reading, comprehension and math skills.

• Safety conscience

• Current valid driver’s license

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule (split shift, evenings, weekends) when necessary

• Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions to complete tasks as necessary

SAFETY EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

• Safety glasses and work boot/shoes are required at all times

• Hard hat is required when working on/with ladders

• Gloves required when working with abrasives
